Host a Kitchen Table Conversation

Have your say and be part of the movement to do politics differently!

We are holding Kitchen Table Conversations (KTCs) across the electorate, to collect information about the issues that are important to our community in the lead up to the next election. A KTC is a gathering of approximately 4 to 10 people to discuss local and federal issues including:

  • what do you love about living in the Monash electorate?
  • What are the qualities that you want in your federal elected representative?
  • What are the important federal and local issues that you would like addressed in the lead up to the next federal electorate?
  • What do you see as the solution to the issues you identified?
The results will be collated into a report that to be provided to all candidates at the next federal election.  Candidates will be asked how they will address the identified issues should they be elected. To gain a comprehensive overview, we need people from all parts and all demographics of the Monash community to help with Kitchen Table Conversations! Make sure your voice is heard and organise to host a KTC!
We intend to continue KTCs and listening process ongoing to ensure we are best representing the voices of monash!

To host a KTC, you just need to organise a group of friends, family, work colleagues or members of a community group for a couple of hours at your home, a cafe, pub or any other venue, to discuss how you want to be represented. A member of our team will come and help facilitate the conversation and take notes.
